About the work

This work is an exploration of the significance and meaning of objects that are used, shared and passed on to future generations--more specifically, domestic textiles that are shared such as bed linens, blankets, tablecloths and other fabrics that are used by the body and shared with other bodies. Over time, these textiles collect the histories, memories and narratives of those who have engaged with them. Through these materials, connections are formed and reformed with one another by experiencing the energy and histories infused within them. These textiles become unintentional heirlooms, reliquaries, chronicles of those who have used them.
